Professor Brian J. Bushee

Brian J. Bushee is an Assistant Professor of Accounting at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.  Since receiving his PhD in Accounting from the University of Michigan in 1997, Professor Bushee has held faculty positions at the Harvard Business School and the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business.  Prior to earning his PhD, he worked as a senior credit analyst for CoreStates Financial Corp. and as a research intern for Coopers and Lybrand, LLP.

Professor Bushee's latest research focuses on the interplay between corporate disclosure practices, accounting choices, and institutional investor ownership.  He currently teaches the Problems in Financial Reporting elective and has also taught the core class Introduction to Financial Accounting in the past.
