What can WUFC do for you?

Here at the Wharton Undergraduate Finance Club, we aim to be your one-stop shop for your finance-related questions and serve as a resource to you throughout your four years in Wharton. We will provide guidance as you go from taking finance classes to interning and working in finance. Our offerings include:

"Recruiting 101" Series

What is finance? What exactly is investment banking, private equity, or venture capital? If you've ever heard financial buzzwords being thrown around in Wharton and wanted to learn what they meant, these information sessions are for you. Through a series of presentations on topics most relevant to Wharton studentsfrom an overview of finance career paths to recommendations on what courses to take (and any additional topics club members request), the Finance 101 Series will give you the information you need to make informed decisions.

"Mastering the Markets" Panels

Want to learn about the financial markets and how you can come out on top? We bring you the top professors at Wharton who are experts in their field to share their insights and knowledge.

"Finance in the Real World" Series

Learn how the theory you learn in class applies to the real world situations. An expert Wharton faculty member will give a talk on topics such as "Understanding Market Behavior", "Interpreting the Fed's Moves", "Valuation for Dummies", and many more.

Case Competition

We are currently in the process of planning our first case competition. This competition will be an intercollegiate competition where the best of the best will compete and demonstrate their finance knowledge.

Guest Speakers and Career/Internship Panels

Come hear from the experiences of alumni and upperclassmen as they dispense advice on everything from landing a coveted Wall Street internship to achieving a successful career in finance.

Finance Faculty Lunch Series

In conjunction with the Wharton Finance Department, the Finance Club is proud to present the Finance Faculty Lunch Series, where members will have the chance to dine with Wharton's world-renowned finance professors. One of our goals this year is to foster greater interaction between faculty and students.

"Meet 'N' Greet" programs

Wharton students are not all work and no play, and neither are we. Throughout the year, we will be organizing various events, from movie nights to bowling to field trips, to help you meet and get to know your fellow club members.
