The Investment Management Club,
in conjunction with MBA Career Management, coordinates with
investment management firms to offer Wharton MBA students
numerous opportunities to learn from and interact with leaders
in the investment management industry. These opportunities
include, but are not limited to, the following IM Club activities:
o Investment Management Conference
o Speaker Series
o Regional Career Treks
o Student Club Partnerships (Fidelity
Investment Competition)
o MBA Career Management Programs (industry panels, resume
workshops and mock interviewing)
o Social Events
In addition to these activities, the Wharton Investment Management
Fund acts as a key component of the Wharton Investment Management
Club by enabling Wharton MBA students to gain hands-on experience
in the investment management field through inter-active portfolio
management. While the Wharton MBA community has a diverse collection
of professional interests in the investment management industry
(i.e. varying job settings and functional interests), the Fund
continues to be the primary training ground for students interested
in investment management and broader public market investing
alike.
The most popular careers for MBA students involved with the
Wharton Investment Management Fund include:
o Buy-side: Investment Management
o Buy-side: Hedge Funds
o Buy-side: Private Equity
o Sell-side: Research Analyst
o Sell-side: Sales & Trading
o Sell-side: Investment Banking
For more detailed information on careers in any of these
fields, please feel free to speak with a Fund Fellow or another
IM Club member with experience in that industry. In addition,
please be sure to explore the career information available
