The Wharton Investment Management Fund is a student-run organization responsible for managing approximately $800,000 on the behalf of The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. The Fund provides the opportunity for Wharton MBA students to gain hands-on experience in the investment management field that enhances lessons learned in both classroom and work environments. Since 1996, the Fund has adhered to a small-cap value investment discipline.

The Fund is officially managed by up to twelve Fund Fellows, all of whom are current Wharton MBA students. During the 2006-07 school year, the Fund Fellows reviewed over seventy-five investment recommendations from Wharton MBA students who act as Fund Analysts.

The Wharton Investment Management Fund is a key component of the Wharton Investment Management Club, and is open to all current IM Club members.

On September 16, 2003, three of the Wharton MBA Class of 2004 Fund Fellows were interviewed live on CNBC's Power Lunch by Bill Griffeth. The CNBC interview coverage included the Wharton Investment Management Fund's investment philosophy as well as recent buy and sell decisions.
