Welcome

The Wharton Veterans Club is a professional club within the Wharton Graduate Association. We strive to raise the profile and awareness of Wharton MBA students who have served in the armed forces of their respective countries. Additionally, we develop and foster relationships between veterans and the business community.

Club News

April 2012 - We are excited to meet the vets of the Wharton Class of 2014 on April 13-14th during Spring Welcome Weekend! The club will be hosting both a Saturday happy hour and Sunday brunch for newly admitted and current Wharton vets.

April 2012 - As the academic year comes to a close, we wanted to recognize some of the numerous employers who have hired Wharton Veterans for either summer internships or full time jobs.

January 2012 - We're looking forward to meeting all the recently admitted vets at the Winter Welcome Weekend. Check your Welcome Weekend materials for specific event details. December 2011 - Congrats to all the newly admitted veterans of the Class of 2014! We're very excited to have you join us next August. Hope everyone has a Happy Holidays.

November 2011 - Congratulations to our newly elected Admissions Vice Presidents! Prospective Vet applicants: contact them directly for assistance on your application. The Wharton Veterans Club is in the news again. Be sure to read this IB Times article featuring Co-President Joe Kistler.

October 2011 - The recent Veterans Prospective Student Day was a great success! Over 45 vets traveled to Philadelphia to learn more about Wharton, the MBA experience and the admissions process. Here's a photo from the career panel with 2nd year Wharton vets describing the many options available to graduates.

October 2011 - The Veterans Club is thrilled with the fantastic response to its first Veterans Prospective Student Day on Thursday, October 13th. We look forward to welcoming you to campus!

August 2011 - Wharton's 2011 Military Admissions Visit Day has been scheduled for Thursday, 13 October! Advanced registration is now available - head here, and click on the "campus events" tab. We look forward to welcoming prospective veteran applicants with a great informational program and an introduction to Wharton.

August 2011 - The Veteran's Club Fall Kick-Off BBQ was a great success - thanks very much to Philadelphia Country Club for hosting us! The Club would also like to thank Credit Suisse, Lazard, and J.P. Morgan for headlining the event, and McKinsey & Company, Bain, Boston Consulting Group, Bank of America Merrill Lynch, and Goldman Sachs for their outstanding support.

June 2011 - Summer in Philly! Congratulations to the Class of 2011 Wharton Veterans, who will start work this summer accross Wall Street, at top consulting firms, and in the most competitive domestic and international corporate positions. There's never been a better time to be a veteran at Wharton.

May 2011 - The Wharton Class of 2013 will include 53 veterans from the United States and eight foreign countries! If you're thinking about applying next fall for the Class of 2014, it's not too early to get in touch.

20 April 2011 - Great to meet Round 2 veteran admits for the Class of 2013 during Spring Welcome Weekend. Our first event will be a pre-term BBQ for veterans and families on August 13!

8 April 2011 - Google wants Wharton Veterans! Google gave a great presentation for the Veterans Club this week, and introduced its veteran recruiting program. Thanks to Will Houston (WG99, U.S. Army) for coming back to campus to talk to current vets. It was a great opportunity for first- and second-year students to learn more about careers at Google.
