Explore Wharton: Diversity in Action
September 25-26, 2008

If you are a woman, an under-represented minority, or a LGBT prospective student, we invite you to visit us at our annual prospective student event Explore Wharton: Diversity in Action on Thursday, September 25 and Friday, September 26, 2008.

Co-sponsored by the African American MBA Association (AAMBAA), Wharton Hispanic American MBA Association (WHAMBAA), Wharton Women in Business (WWIB), Out for Business (Out4Biz) and Wharton’s MBA Admissions Office, Explore Wharton gives you the opportunity to experience Wharton first-hand. This two-day event focuses on Wharton MBA opportunities for prospective women, LGBT and under-represented minorities. You will meet current students and administrators, attend classes with Wharton's top professors and gain invaluable insights in the admissions process.

Discover how our distinctively collaborative environment, innovative learning channels, global reach, and diversity of talent, place you at the leading edge of new ideas that shape worldwide practice in the business, nonprofit and government sectors.

Student Perspectives

"Most people recognize the strength of the Wharton brand as well as the academic rigor associated with a Wharton MBA. The value-add of the Explore Wharton weekend was to actually be a part of the campus community and be able to determine whether it would be a good fit. The students I met, the classes I attended and the activities I participated in made me want to be a part of the Wharton experience."
-Deborah Mason, WG ‘10

“Explore Wharton helped demystify the admissions process and removed my preconceived notion of what was a typical "Wharton student." Like most, I came to explore Wharton unsure of my chances of being accepted and convinced that the stereotypes and rumors would be reaffirmed. By the end of the weekend, not only was the definition of a Wharton student redefined outside of those stereotypes, I actually came away believing that Wharton really wanted me and the unique contributions I would bring to help further expand the notion of the "Wharton Student."
-Stephanie McDuffie, WG ‘10

"The business school application process has been extremely transformative. Recognizing your passions and the best environment in which you feel you will thrive is an eye-opening event. Explore Wharton was the beginning of this evolution."
- Jamaine Aggrey, WG‘08
