Welcome to the Wharton Crew Club Official Website - home of world-class business students...with oars...

Safety is Priority #1:
Occassionally the river won't be safe to row on due to high winds or rains. Typically, when the river is flowing at 18,000 cubic f/s, it's closed. The club captains and president will make the decision as to when it will be unsafe to row.

In the meantime, there is a cool website that gives the hour-by-hour flow rate of the Schuylkill river. Check it out!

- Row hard!

Club Description

The Wharton Crew team consists of MBA students, their partners, and other graduate and professional students at the University of Pennsylvania. We are an extra-curricular club that is dedicated to providing recreational, athletic and competitive rowing opportunities to our members. We row in two team-owned Master's 8-Person shells.

Rowing is one of the most distinctive and rewarding experiences you can have at Wharton. Not only does Philadelphia offer one of the finest rowing venues in the world, but there are many resources in the form of classmates and community members who can help you become a more competent rower (no matter what your current level.) Best of all, you don’t have to be a veteran or have rowed in college. The club trains many novice men and women who have never set foot in a boat, while also providing a competitive environment for experienced rowers and coxswains.

If you'd like more information about our programs, or if you'd like to learn how to join our club, please review this website or contact us at info@whartoncrew.org.
